Stay safe online, without the jargon

Scams are getting harder to spot, and that’s not your fault. These guides show you how to spot them, lock down your accounts, and what to do if something goes wrong. Every step is checked against official advice from the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre and the US Federal Trade Commission.

Three rules that stop most scams

  1. Stop if you’re being rushed. Scammers rush you on purpose, so you act before you think.
  2. Check it yourself using a number or website you already know, never the one in the message.
  3. Never share a code sent to your phone, or your passwords, with anyone. That includes us.
